  Throughout all Des Femmes programs we strive to make a safe and uplifting environment for people of all backgrounds and genders. We treat people respectfully and communicate with a positive attitude. We don’t demean anyone’s character or gender expression, even if we disagree. We do encourage collaboration across political divides. If misunderstandings happen, we strive to understand each other and resolve conflicts. We have a zero harassment policy, not even in jest. And we do not rage quit nor remove community participants due to personal conflicts. Instead, any decision made to preserve the safety of the group involves review by at least one objective third party to ensure fair communication, all while keeping safety and privacy in mind. We take the safety of our participants very seriously. People are complicated! So we strive to create spaces for meaningful, long-lasting relationships while minimizing problematic power dynamics.

Minimum requirements in staying “active” in the DAO

• [ ] We only volunteer to do things we actually want to participate in making a reality, to see it through the nitty gritty
• [ ] We try to respond to Slack messages and emails within 7 days and inform our fellow community members within 48 hours when there’s an unexpected emergency that makes us unreachable
• [ ] We always try to close loops and followup with actionable next steps rather than leaving the ball in other people’s courts, so to speak
• [ ] In order to give ourselves the space to explore new possibilities, we respect each-other’s time and be present in committed meetings and events

No Ghosting 👻

We welcome volunteers of every variety! Only volunteer work that upholds the following values is eligible for bounty program rewards and other types of compensation or leadership titles. Payments are processed within 2 weeks of review, after peers from the core Des Femmes team leaders sign off to verify completion. This core team consists of representatives from both Des Femmes LLC and DAO keyholders.
